Georgia?

DH loves this name but I'm not sure if it would be a good name for a baby born in 2020. What is the general consensus?

Love it. Classy and pretty.

Fairydust20 · 01/01/2020 22:17

Love it my husband liked it for our second but it didn't sound quite right with our surname

sameasiteverwasantiques · 01/01/2020 22:18

I've got a Georgia and she's 4. Love it.

FairytaleofBykerGrove · 01/01/2020 22:22

I really like it. A lot. So strong and classy and neither boring or wacky. Great name altogether.

Schoolinfoplease2020 · 01/01/2020 22:23

Love

And Georgie

DramaAlpaca · 01/01/2020 22:32

It's very dated, very 90s.

Also, I'm sorry for any offence caused, but I don't think of it as a classy name at all I've heard it shrieked across playgrounds too many times.

Georgina, now that is both classic and classy. Much nicer than Georgia.

Whatsyourflava · 01/01/2020 23:16

I like jt

milliefiori · 01/01/2020 23:32

I love it. It was on our very short list if DC had been girls. That was nearly two decades ago but it hasn't dated. It's a classic and so pretty. Georgina/Georgiana are good too but Georgia sounds prettier imo.

littlealexhorne · 01/01/2020 23:44

Can't stand Georgina but Georgia is nice. I wouldn't say it was dated at all, just not crazily common, which is a good thing.

MrsBertBibby · 01/01/2020 23:50

Not keen at all. Dislike the repeated G sound. Very grating to my ear.

Constantlurker · 01/01/2020 23:51

Georgia is gorgeous, classy, not too popular. Georgina is definitely not as nice, only 1 letter in it but to me Georgina sounds horrible.

kittykatkitty · 01/01/2020 23:53

I love it and

I have 23 year old one

HalfManHalfLabrador · 02/01/2020 00:00

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 02/01/2020 00:25

I love it. Yes, it's dated but why is that a bad thing.

Roxingaroundtheworld · 02/01/2020 00:28

I like it, I do think it sounds dated but that isn’t a bad thing

AHintOfStyle · 02/01/2020 00:29

It's lovely x

OhMyDarling · 02/01/2020 00:29

Love

Peachbubble · 02/01/2020 08:18

I like it. To me, Georgina sounds more dated than Georgia.

Orangedaisy · 02/01/2020 08:20

Depends where you live. Some accents kill what could be a lovely name.

UnderneathTheMangoTree · 02/01/2020 08:28

I love it, it's not too common which is a good thing. Very popular names will sound dated in a decade or two.

MopsRUs · 02/01/2020 08:35

I like it.

user1493494961 · 02/01/2020 09:12

I think it's very 90s. Agree with pp, not classy at all.

Gigia · 02/01/2020 09:51

I really like it. Also like Georgina but prefer Georgia

NoSauce · 02/01/2020 10:47

I agree it’s very dated.
