My brother is called Edward. I'm a Charlotte

I only know one other Edward who has a sister, her name is Taliya. He's known as Teddy though.

I have an Isobel Maeve...

Isobel is the Scottish spelling & Maeve is the anglicised version of the old Irish Medb pronounced May-v Grin

I love names you can grow old with.

Poppyfields21 · 29/12/2019 16:55

Have you got a new shortlist @SisterforEdward

SisterforEdward · 29/12/2019 19:49

@Fluffy lots of the names are lovely but are my sister's/ mums/my name its good to see we all have good taste Grin

Lots of the names are on my list already just none are a front runner. I knew Edwards name from the minute i found out it was a boy it just feels strange not being sure this time.

Eleanor was a front runner but was worried about the double E

Matilda is a favourite but not sure if it will be a bit cutesy as an adult. Its also very popular at the moment so don't want it to be that name where everyone knows the year she was born just by her name (like every Kylie born in the 80s)

And this is the easiest part of parenting 😂😂

I think you should go for Eleanor it’s such a gorgeous name @SisterforEdward

What worries you about the E? I know some say post is a problem but how much stuff do we actually get by post now let alone in 10 years time. My doctors letters are now all done online (that happened a both ago). I don’t get phone bills or bank statements in post. The only formal letters I get in post now are HMRC. And I get about 1 letter a year from them. I really wouldn’t base a decision on “post” (if that’s what you’re even doing). I bet the concept of post will seem very funny in 5 or so years

  • about not a ‘a both’
