After much toing and froing we've decided on a name for this ds due early April. It's an unusual choice and I'm sure a lot of people won't like it but we do.
I'm not really asking for opinions on the name just potential pitfalls with it please.
It's Bram Francis J....

I quite like Bram, which is of course a variation on the old-fashioned Abraham. And it flows well with Francis in the middle.

puds11 · 22/12/2019 23:29

Love Bram!! Francis is underused and lovely too.

Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark · 22/12/2019 23:29

If you like it that's all that matters. Congratulations OP, Flowers

DramaAlpaca · 22/12/2019 23:33

I'm glad you've found a name you both like.

There's no pitfalls with it that I can see.

Why do I have a feeling that one of you will change your mind & you'll have another thread on here before April comes round? Grin

Lovely name. I can’t think of any pitfalls with it.

NannySusan · 23/12/2019 01:28

I like it, different without being so unusual people don't know how to pronounce or think they've misheard.

Tillygetsit · 23/12/2019 03:29

@DramaAlpaca you know us too well! 😂I flipping hope not though. It's been a saga!

Bram Stoker.....

CloudyVanilla · 23/12/2019 04:47

It's lovely and Bram Stoker is a fantastic iconic author :)

Grufallosfriends · 23/12/2019 08:06

If you like it, that's important. Congratulations

villamariavintrapp · 23/12/2019 08:35

I like Bram. Initials BJ though?

Enko · 23/12/2019 11:46

I also saw initial BJ ita nice enough as a name but not sure I would have a B name with for a surname

TotheletterofthelawTHELETTER · 23/12/2019 11:50

I love Bram. My next door neighbour is called this, he’s about 80. It’s an older name that hasn’t become overly used like Alfie or Harry.

Mamabear88 · 23/12/2019 12:17

Agree with others, you might want to strongly rethink those BJ initials.

PlantPotting · 23/12/2019 12:36

Yeh sorry the initials 😬
So annoying when you’ve found a name you like but I personally wouldn’t do this

mondler · 23/12/2019 18:38

Sorry another one that was gonna point out the bj initials.

NannyR · 23/12/2019 18:41

You could go for Abram, to be known as Bram to avoid the BJ initials.

Tillygetsit · 23/12/2019 19:48

Hmmm yes the initials. Abram is a good shout. Thanks.
