I like all of them.

Lucy and Benjamin

lionroarr · 09/12/2019 11:31

I think they're my favourites too

This is a lovely selection of names
Favourite is lucy and Benjamin

MrsNoMopp · 09/12/2019 11:35

Sophie and Samuel

TLBftm · 09/12/2019 11:41

I think they’re ok but too common. I didn’t name my DS anything crazy but I was reading the top 100 boys names of 2019 yesterday and his name didn’t feature and I was so happy, I like something a bit more unique but not odd. What about sofia?

Lyricallie · 09/12/2019 11:42

I love Lucy and Benjamin and my future imaginary babies are potentially going to be called them.

HeatedDryer · 09/12/2019 11:42

Love them. I like simple classic names. My boys would have been Lucy and Jessica! Shortened version Sam and Ben also lovely for boys

lionroarr · 09/12/2019 11:42

Hmmmm, to be honest I'm not too fussed on popularity. If I went that way it would be Sophia, but still prefer Sophie.

I prefer Sophie too @lionroarr

I’ve not met a little Sophie or Lucy in years actually

Katfood · 09/12/2019 12:06

They're ok. Quite fashionable recently.

Lucy feels the most timeless.

kitk · 09/12/2019 12:07

Love all of them. My child has one of those names

Leopardprintboots · 09/12/2019 12:18

@Katfood don’t really understand quite fashionable “recently”, if you look at the ONS official data all four names have been on downward trajectories for the past 20 years! Lucy is outside the top 60 now!
I love all 4 names so much and I would say all 4 are currently underused

userabcname · 09/12/2019 12:28

Really like Lucy and Benjamin.

PsychosonicCindy · 09/12/2019 12:32

Lucy & Benjamin

BlueEyedFloozy · 09/12/2019 12:40

Lucy and Benjamin are my favourites but I like Sophie and Samuel too.

Popularity doesn't really bother me tbh. One of mine has a name that was in the Top 10 at the time - now on its way out of the charts and can't say it's made much difference to him even in his class where there was 3 of them. They thought it was cool :o

I like what I like, not what other people choose!

Stayingstrong24 · 09/12/2019 12:40

I have always loved both Lucy and Sophie.

Lucy is my angel baby, and Sophie was on my short list for DC3.

Samuel is the name I would have given DD if she'd been a boy!

I don't know many little Lucy's at the moment. The two I do know are both spelt Lucie which may be becoming more popular?
Lucy is a name that never seems to age or date though.

That said I don't know many little Sophie's at the moment either.
Sophia/ Sofia seems to be more popular in our area.
I don't think you need to worry about popularity.

SausageSimon · 09/12/2019 12:41

Lucy and Benjamin for definite, the other two names are a bit wet imo GrinSmile lovey name choices

lionroarr · 09/12/2019 12:49

I think I am going to have to have another in the future just so I can use the other name as I love them too much to never use them Grin

OP posts:
Leopardprintboots · 09/12/2019 13:40

@lionroarr don’t you mean you’re going to have to have 4 🤣!! To use all 4 names!!
or is it the boys or girls list you want to use?

lionroarr · 09/12/2019 13:46

@Leopardprintboots I definitely prefer Lucy and Benjamin too. Although I'd happily have 4, not sure my husband would be too agreeable though GrinGrin

Ahh snap @lionroarr yes I can only persuade DH to 2 at the moment ...
Lucy and Benjamin are gorgeous names x

lionroarr · 09/12/2019 14:27

@Leopardprintboots same here! This will be our second and I expect our last unfortunately x

All lovely names! Favourites are probably Lucy and Samuel but all great choices!

hannahfaith · 09/12/2019 15:33

Lucy and Benjamin

My brother is a Ben and when he was a bit younger he was called Benny and Benji. Lovely name.
