Boys names help!

Hi everyone, I'm due April next year and am having a lovely boy. We already have one of each, Ellie & Daniel (we always call him Danny) and I'm looking for a little help!
My partner loves the name Logan, I do too! But I feel unsure if it goes with siblings names.

All suggestions very welcome! 💙

Oh don't bother too much matching if it's a name you love.

averythinline · 09/12/2019 08:53

Not quite as classic as your other 2 names I think not sure why
Daniel sibs I know are James, Conor, Jack, Matthew and Jacob ...

nurseymummyx · 09/12/2019 09:12

I definitely think I'm overthinking it too much but I think ellie and Daniel are quite traditional and Logan's a little bit more unique 😂 I worry about everything lol.

Jack is on our list and I also love James but it's my brothers name. Could definitely pinch it as a middle name though 😂

Logan is great stick with that
They’re all individuals anyway
It’s not like you’re decorating a house, whether they match or not is pretty irrelevant but I actually think the names sound good together anyway

hannahfaith · 09/12/2019 15:37

I say go for it. Don't worry too much about them going together as they all still sound nice.
Ellie, Danny and Logan.

DivGirl · 09/12/2019 15:53

If you love it go for it. They'll be separate people for longer than they'll be a set.

It's literally my least favourite name though. I despise it. A family member named their DS Logan and even she calls him by their surname.

Other names:
Samuel/Sam
Rory
Luke/Luca
Frederick/Freddie
Alexander/Alex
Andrew

I really like Logan but here are some traditional suggestions just Incase but I really do think you’re overthinking. Matching sibling names is just so unimportant and they sound good together anyway

Eli
Peter
Christopher nickname Kit
Ellis
Miles
Seth
Wilf(red)
Otis
Otto
Eric
Caleb
Barnaby
Sidney
Casper
Rudy/Rudi
Dexter
Nathan/Nathaniel - Nate
Blake
Angus
Dominic
Rafferty / Raffy
Blake

  • sorry I’ve put Blake twice and I don’t think that fits the traditional ‘brief’
TatianaLarina · 09/12/2019 16:17

DH is right Logan doesn’t go with the others. (Plus it’s awful - very American I think it’s the new Gary).

Quizeerascal · 09/12/2019 16:34

Logan is a bit different to the others but doesn't clash with them iyswim. If you love it go for it Logan James works well as does Logan Jack if you wanted to use them as middle names

MrsBertBibby · 09/12/2019 18:34

Oh I don't like Logan. It's an oafish name.

Robert
Luke
Conrad

Mamabear88 · 09/12/2019 19:55

Logan is dreadful, sorry. Jack is great and goes really well with Daniel and Ellie.

neighbourhoodwitch · 09/12/2019 19:57

Jamie

nurseymummyx · 09/12/2019 22:46

You are all right! It doesn't matter if they match at all. I've taken on a few of the other name suggestions too Grin I've got a lovely list now thanks so much x
Also I wasn't too keen on Logan at first either, all I could think of was Logan Paul the you tuber but after a while it really grew on me. It is definitely very American I agree! X
