Favorites and Least Favorites?

Mums out there, what are some of your favorite names and guilty pleasure names what are some of the names you really just don't like for one reason or another?

I love Nevaeh which is despised on here.
I’m from Liverpool and I hate the way Isla is pronounced all dragged out and elongated with a heavy I at the beginning.
I like Lily on some kids but hate it on others.
Can’t stand Seren, but It’s very popular on here.
Amelie is like a mixture of Emily and Amelia. It’s either one or the other pick one.

Detest the names Genevieve and Seren but people on here seem to love them

Love the name Holly but DH doesn't so that's never being used. Also liked Millie (vetoed for a future daughter by DH again) so that ended up being the cats name.

I find some of the popular names mentioned on MN rub me the wrong way- specifically Saskia or Acacia. They feel almost a bit "unique" for the sake of it but then again that's just my preference.

Favourite names are the 'boring names' by MN standards such as Isabelle, Catherine etc. I love that they have nicknames suitable for younger ages but the full name is a strong adult option.

I love 'grown up' names on children, like Margaret, Elizabeth, Vincent, Frederick.

Not fond of word names, like Storm, Skye, Forest, Oak etc

My fave name was Liberty I desperately wanted it for DD but DH didn't like it.
I also love Piper, Paris, Sydney and Shelby but everyone I speak to hates them😂

I really don't like the name Olivia it's so so popular most people I know have named their DD that or Isabelle/Bella. I don't know why people choose a name that's in the top 5!

Hate anything Etta eg Rosetta Henrietta Etta.
Aside from Pauline I think anything ending in Line is far too try hard.

I love biblical names despite not being religious. I really dont like boys names on girls or surnames as first names.

Love Elsie, Elin, Ethel and Evelyn. As you can see I like names beginning with E. Also love Gwen or Gwyneth. HATE makeyup names like Nevaeh (Heaven spelt backwards) ppppplllllllease

Hate any name that smacks of nickname. Let them BE nicknames. =I'm also not a fan of weird spellings for the child's sake. Other than that, most names appeal to me.
