Awful, but you do you.

MarthasGinYard · 02/12/2019 07:29

'Sib set' ugh
Names ....oh dear

daisypond · 02/12/2019 07:39

What are you asking? You have four DC and are having a fifth? Which is the name? The names are fine, but don’t go together. Jacinta, Elizabeth and Xavier are good. Patrick is great. Not keen on Blaine.

MrsNoMopp · 02/12/2019 08:19

Are you writing a novel or are these real people?

IVflytrap · 02/12/2019 10:01

What about them? Confused

icemelting · 02/12/2019 10:08

For children or a novel?
Elizabeth fine
Jacinta ok
Xavier depends upon pronunciation
Blaise saints name but awful
Paddy awful as in Paddy Power, Paddy pants down (Patrick is ok)

Liverbird77 · 02/12/2019 12:49

Love Blaise

BonBon411 · 02/12/2019 14:54

Paddy-no
Jacinta- no
Elisabeth-lovely
Blaise- horrible
Xavier- ok

These names do not go together at all.

SpaceDinosaur · 02/12/2019 15:20

"Sib set" 😂
Collect one, collect em all!

Erm, none of those names go together IMO. None of them feel of the same "Ilk"

TatianaLarina · 02/12/2019 17:53

All over the place.

One Irish diminutive, one Spanish, two French, (well Xavier could be either French or Spanish), one Swiss.

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 18:14

Oh no these are siblings who I know.
I've always thought that the parents had done quite well in a time when you have families emulating the Kardashians/attempting to stick to a 'theme.'

Paddy is Patrick on the birth cert afaik.

OP posts:
TatianaLarina · 02/12/2019 18:28

The Kardashians stick to a letter not a theme.

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 18:35

Thats why the slash was used in the sentence.
For clarity, I'm not a great fan of either.

OP posts:
Clangus00 · 02/12/2019 18:44

Who cares?
Are they Irish Catholic?

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 18:57

Well I care, obviously Grin
Catholic but not Irish.

OP posts:
TatianaLarina · 02/12/2019 18:57

I like themes as long as they’re not too matchy matchy.

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 19:00

Actually the fact that they all have saints' names probably counts as a theme...

OP posts:
TatianaLarina · 02/12/2019 19:09

I suppose it does but it’s rather a random selection.

Clangus00 · 02/12/2019 19:31

Today 18:57 HotSince82

Well I care, obviously grin
Catholic but not Irish.

Why do you care? All you’re doing is criticising.

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 20:26

No I'm not.
I haven't criticised them at all, quite the opposite.

OP posts:
VanyaHargreeves · 02/12/2019 20:29

Do you not think listing the names of someone else's children and inviting public judgement on them is a bit sinister/mean spirited/ odd OP?

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 22:28

No, not really. Though I take it from your comment that you do.

OP posts:
VanyaHargreeves · 02/12/2019 22:38

It would be entirely different if these were your own DCs names

How many families are there with 5 DC of these names?

One, I'd imagine

Imagine being the DM of these DC sitting at a computer thinking "which of my "friends"has done this?"

"why do they care so much?"

I'd be freaked out so bad

HotSince82 · 02/12/2019 22:49

Fair enough, people differ I suppose.

If it were me I'd be chuffed; although as I think they have named their children well I wasn't expecting many negative responses.

However I suppose its prudent to add; Hi, if you're reading this, its your friend with the orange coat here. I immortalised your tribe on MN, mine's a mocha when you next see me Wink

Jacinta is shocking.

Blaise is awful.

Elizabeth is beautiful and Paddy is great.

Xavier - old fashioned yet a bit ‘try hard’
