I like Ariella or Sienna.

formerbabe · 28/11/2019 12:07

Ariella a bit of a mouthful...never heard it to be honest..sounds a bit made up but happy to be corrected.

Darya ugly sounding...the d sound doesn't work with the ya imo.

Liana lovely

Sienna my favourite of your choices

Winterdaysarehere · 28/11/2019 12:09

Ariel is a laundry detergent...
And a mermaid!!
Sienna reminds me of Senakot - def not appealing!!
Darya is nice.

RolytheRhino · 28/11/2019 12:13

I don't like Darya the way I'd pronounce it but I could be getting it wrong. Is it like Darren with a short a or like Darla with a long a? With a short a it sounds better to me. Also, is the ya actually a ya or are you pronouncing it like 'ee-a'?

VenusClapTrap · 28/11/2019 12:25

Darya

Katfood · 28/11/2019 12:49

I like Liana!

daisypond · 28/11/2019 12:55

Darya. But I’m more used to seeing it as Daria. I know a couple.

FindaPenny · 28/11/2019 12:55

Liana is really pretty.... Is it the name of Jon Snows mum in Game of Thrones... Maybe with a different spelling.

iguanaa · 28/11/2019 12:56

I like sienna. darya sounds like diahrrea (or however you spell it)

Leopardprintboots · 28/11/2019 13:09

Love Sienna ❤️

ilovemykids5 · 28/11/2019 14:19

Ariella and Sienna both lovely.
Darya sounds like diarreah

diddlediddle · 28/11/2019 14:54

Ariella - immediate thought was areola Confused
Darya - not heard it before. Danya? Daria? Not keen.
Liana - sounds made up but harmless enough, quite pretty. Leora is nice too.
Sienna - nice name. Think it might be having a bit of a moment but it's pretty.

IVflytrap · 28/11/2019 18:57

Ariella - nice. Pretty. Although when I see it now I always remember when a mumsnetter pointed out it's a bit like areola...
Darya - OK. Not sure if it should be two syllables or three? Prefer the Daria spelling.
Liana - pretty, but it means "vine" in botany
Sienna - overused and boring as a result

CatteStreet · 28/11/2019 19:03

I like Daria, but not Darya. Liane (Liana less so) is nice. Not keen at all on the others.

How about Damaris? Or Thalia? Similar sort of vibe.

MikeUniformMike · 28/11/2019 20:51

Ariella - no. Mariella is nicer
Darya - ok
Liana - jungle plant
Sienna - earthy colour. No.

Mariella

TatianaLarina · 28/11/2019 21:53

Darya sounds better in Russian.

Sienna is nice but overused.

I think Mariella is easier to say.

Astronica · 29/11/2019 08:32

I like Darya best. Liana is okay, not keen on the others.

IckleBear · 29/11/2019 09:40

I only like Sienna.

Jiggles101 · 29/11/2019 09:49

Darya sounds way too much like diarrhoea 😂

Sienna is nice if you like that sort of thing

MikeUniformMike · 29/11/2019 09:53

Ariella sounds like 'Arry Ella. Two overpopular names.
Arielle Ar-yell is prettier, or Marielle.

FizzyGreenWater · 29/11/2019 10:13

Liana is great, shame Suzuki stopped making them, we had one years ago Grin. No no no! Car or a vine in a forest, not a name

Darya is very harsh, ugly, no.

Ariella is frilly and made up sounding.

Sienna I don't like, but nothing wrong with it.

Instead of Ariella: Ariel, Arabella, Anya?

How about Aurora, Cleo, Jasmine?

BrutusMcDogface · 29/11/2019 10:19

Ariella does make me think of areola, and a bug character in Tree Fu Tom.....

Daria is nice- unusual.

Liana is also lovely and probably my favourite.

Sienna- I am so fed up with hearing this name; it’s so common round here and yes, just makes me think of the colour “burnt sienna”.

jfoyo26 · 29/11/2019 15:38

Liana is the nicest - some good nicknames; Lia, Anna. I would probably spell Lianna though!

Footiefan2019 · 29/11/2019 15:41

Lianna
Or
Arielle (ah-ree-ELL)

Practicalmagico · 29/11/2019 15:49

I like Darya but spelled Daria
