Thoughts on the name Iris?

I put up a post previously about the name Ada, which is now on the 'shortlist' so to speak. Whilst googling and searching through random lists of names I came across Iris.... I'm just always curious to see what others think :)

Absolutely love Iris. My dh vetoed it though 🤷‍♀️

I know sisters called Iris and Ada.

@bikerunski no way!!! that's basically my two fav names so far, that's really a huge coincidence isn't it.

I love Iris (and Ada). I know one, she's 2 years old.

I think it’s lovely. Mil is an Iris and it’s DD’s middle name, I kind of would have liked to use it as her first name but having two in the family might have been a bit odd.

Love them both! Ada was on our list if DS had been a girl!

I think they are Iris Alice and Ada Ivy.

@Bikerunski what's even weirder as my original list of names that I had noted in my phone include Alice and Ivy...... spooky!

I know an Iris who pronounces it Ee ris.

Lovely name. My SIL is an Iris and her sister is a Heather.

Love Iris. Far nicer than Ada.
