Here we go again...

I was all set to name this baby Jasper Francis but tonight, dh has told me he has tried really hard to like it but just doesn't. He thinks it's too comedy posh in his words.
I have to let it go, dont I?
We've decided to choose from the following names. Which would you pick? We're not really open to other suggestions as we both have large families where most names have been used.
Asher
Adam
Edwin
Patrick
Douglas

How posh is Jasper Carrott? It’s a biblical name.

Jasper is waaaay nicer than any of those.

Just change the middle name to something more blokey like Adam.

Adam, Patrick and Douglas from that list. Can Francis stay in if it's paired with something else?

My favourite is Patrick with any of the other four as middle name.

If your DH doesn't like the name you can't use it, regardless of why he doesn't like it.

I like Asher or Douglas best, followed by Adam.

Douglas will just end up as Doug. I really don’t like it sorry- it’s horrible.
Love all your other choices. I love Jasper but appreciate you cant use. How about Casper?

I nearly chose Jasper as a name but went for Rufus instead. Probably equally comedy posh tbh. Patrick is lovely.

Is there any persuading your husband here? I think once he meets a few little ones he’ll reLise that names aren’t reserved for posh people anymore. I know Ruperts and Oscars and Hugo’s on council estates.

I like Asher best followed by Patrick then Adam. Edwin is posher sounding then Jasper! Douglas will end up being Hey Duggee!
