I know a Jasmine May in her 20's. I love it, it's hardly heard round where we are.

Thetimetravelerswife · 19/11/2019 19:34

I really dislike the name.
I mean it’s a beautiful flower...and has nice Disney connotations.
But I can’t help think get a “downmarket” vibe. Also jaz as a nickname puts me off.

I find it very dated to the 90’s when “J” names were popular... like Jennifer/Jessica/Joanne/Jemma

Sorry, just my opinion!

Omashu · 19/11/2019 19:35

I really love it ❤️

Omashu · 19/11/2019 19:36

How many syllables is your last name?

I’m asking because something like Jasmine Aurelia would be nice you had a 1 or 2 syllable last name...

MikeUniformMike · 19/11/2019 19:36

I like it

CherryBathBomb · 19/11/2019 19:37

Its nice

CornedBeef451 · 19/11/2019 19:43

I have a Jasmine so obviously I love the name.

Since about 3 years old she has objected to Jaz as a nickname so is now JJ or full name.

CornedBeef451 · 19/11/2019 19:44

Oh, or Razzle Jazzle but not when her friends can hear me.

Branleuse · 19/11/2019 19:52

its very pretty and as a flower name, I dont think it will date

ilovetofu · 19/11/2019 19:57

Love it OP Smile

Jasmine Elizabeth
Jasmine Sophia
Jasmine Paloma
Jasmine Ophelia
Jasmine Alice
Jasmine Ruby

MissHenty · 19/11/2019 19:57

I think it’s a gorgeous name!

PepsiLola · 19/11/2019 20:03

I love the name Jasmine, i feel like it would suit a traditional name for middle.

Definitely not a flower name, it would be a little too much. Likewise a J name.

Do you have any family names that would be considered?

NoOtherUsernameWasValid · 19/11/2019 20:18

It's a name I have always loved and plan on calling our DD Smile

Ours will be Jasmine Marie but that's because of a family name we would like her to have, and with our last name works and sounds nice to us.

Everybody will always have different opinions on names, so you'll always have mixed opinions

Peachbubble · 19/11/2019 20:41

Lovely name, loads of middle names would go with it, but I'd avoid another flower name.

Officerthosearenotmysuitcases · 19/11/2019 20:55

Brilliant, thanks everyone!
For the person that asked: our surname is double barrelled. First surname has 2 syllables and second has 1.

Slightly irrelevant I know, but my house is called Jasmine Cottage.

And yes, Jasmine is a pretty name.

Marlena1 · 19/11/2019 21:49

I think it's lovely OP.

IAcceptCookies · 19/11/2019 22:21

Jasmine is a lovely name. I know a beautiful little Jasmine.

DramaAlpaca · 19/11/2019 22:23

I've always liked Jasmine. It's pretty without being fussy.

ChaiTeaChai · 19/11/2019 22:26

I love it.

Chocmallows · 19/11/2019 22:28

Timeless, I would add a classic middle name:

Jasmine Rebecca
Jasmine Elizabeth

WhoKnewBeefStew · 19/11/2019 22:29

I've always liked the name. Maybe Rose as a middle name, or is that too flowery

rubydoobydoo · 19/11/2019 22:36

Pretty name - I know an 8 year old one and a 25 year old one.

Marcipex · 19/11/2019 22:54

I like it, and Jasmine Paloma is lovely

notthenormal · 19/11/2019 22:59

Jazmine Lorelle
