Lovely names!

DramaAlpaca · 18/11/2019 21:17

Jemima is sweet.

helpiamstressedbuthey · 18/11/2019 22:03

thanks for replies just so stuck!!
really really love Jemima/Mima & Georgie.
what do people think on Georgie as a full name. I don’t like any lengthened versions (Georgia/Georgina/Georgiana/Georgette, all lovely names but not for me) ? Smile

Georgie and Millie (i personally think ie not y) are super cute

Plus Georgie Grey and Millie Grey are just to die for!!

CoffeeBeansGalore · 18/11/2019 22:07

If you love them, use them! Jemima Georgie Grey Smile

Omashu · 18/11/2019 22:10

Mima (said like the end of Jemima) makes me think of someone who mimes.

But Gia is lovely! It’s never been popular on here but I love Gianna with the nn Gia!

Thetimetravelerswife · 18/11/2019 22:45

I only like Jemima

Lavenderblues · 18/11/2019 23:16

Gianna is beautiful.

Jemima is ok but I don't like Mima (Meema?!)

EleanorShellstrop100 · 19/11/2019 04:56

Love Jemima

SleepWarrior · 19/11/2019 05:17

Jemima

MrsNoMopp · 19/11/2019 05:24

Milly

Alwayshangryhangry · 19/11/2019 05:33

Ohhhh Grey is a beautiful name changer! Jemima Grey is just utterly beautiful (but so are the rest!)

Astronica · 19/11/2019 06:00

I like all the names on your list, but Jemima is my favourite.

Peachbubble · 19/11/2019 06:39

Jemima

daisypond · 19/11/2019 07:27

Jemima by far.

Timetobegood · 19/11/2019 07:29

I like your names but Mima as a nickname is horrible.

NameChange30 · 19/11/2019 07:37

Georgie is a nickname. (Also "Georgie, porgy, pudding and pie.")
Nothing wrong with using cutesy nicknames for babies but please use a proper name on the birth certificate so they have the option of a more adult name as they get older.
Georgia is lovely.

I also like Jemima, not a huge fan of the nickname Mima but as above no harm in it as long as it's Jemima on the bc.

Grufallosfriends · 19/11/2019 07:38

Jemima is best.

But I don't like Mima. Is it Mee Ma?!

NameChange30 · 19/11/2019 07:41

I assumed Mime-a (or My-ma)
Like the last 2 syllables of Jemima

groovergirl · 19/11/2019 07:43

Don't tear your hair out, OP Sad. When you meet your baby, you will pick the right name from your list. You don't need to make your mind up right this minute!

Jemima Grey is lovely. If you like Gia, perhaps consider its full form, Giana, so that bubs can use the formal or the nickname as she likes. But I'm biased; I have a friend named Giana and just love the Italian elegance.

groovergirl · 19/11/2019 07:44

Just want to add -- all the best for the birth or your darling one, and welcome to Mumsnet!

daisypond · 19/11/2019 07:48

I like Mima as a short form too.
