I’ve name changed for this as we aren’t telling anymore the name until baby is here.
I’m expecting a girl and we are pretty much set on the name Elizabeth. Do you think it’s a nice name? How many baby Elizabeth’s do you know and do they go by a nickname? Thanks

One of my favourites, It was my mum's name (she preferred it in full, would accept Liz but not Betty) and is my middle name, but I would have used it for a daughter (first or middle) purely on the grounds that it's a nice name in its own right. If it was my name I'd be happiest with Liz as a short form but I don't think it really suits girls before their early teens, before that I'd probably have called my hypothetical daughter Elizabeth or Lizzie.

Elizabeth. Mayella is dreadful.
