Anything goes with max. It's the ultimate perfect name to me. It's really manly, but suits babies, girls, older men, animals, anything. And goes with any middle name really. Preferably a meaningful middle name, but Max is excellent

Max (middle name to be a name that means a lot to you.... Maybe Grandad's name? Or a male name that runs in the family?)
Other than that Max needs a longer middle name, whereas Maximilian needs a short (one syllable) middle name.

We have Max William. Now in his 20's, he is quite happy with his name, although wishes we had gone for the full Maximus or Maximillian - the latter of which clearly wouldn't have worked with William as a middle name!

To my knowledge he has never been teased as 'Max Willy'!
