We have been looking for names, both boys and girls.

There is literally 2 boys names we semi agree on, and no girls names.

Due to family and location, we have the following criteria.

  1. Can't have any names beginning with J, L or G
  2. no Th anywhere in name
  3. all names starting with a vowel will be pronounced different here. So ideally starting with a consonant, but not fixed as some work ok
  4. 2 syllables

Names we like but already used by close family: Leon, Dexter, Otis, Max

I feel like there are no names left that work or we like. I guess out taste is similar to those used by family, so known names, maybe not in the top 10. Any ideas?

The girls names mentioned have all been discounted for various reasons. ie Nina dh thinks sounds like an ambulance noise, and Margot like 'Maggot' (the t is pronounced here)

Ralph is on my like list, DH isn't sure, but maybe it will grow on him.

@Alicewond - its not our relationship that's the problem. But that we need a name that works in three languages, and from working in childcare I have too many close names I wouldn't choose either.

I like many names from above, and some have been added to our 'maybe' list. Its just I need to confirm local pronounciation. Ie Poppy here is 'poop-y' which for me isn't great.

I like Ivan, but Sil recently had an 'Evan'. We have used 2 great names above on our Cats, unfortunately!
