I already know (of) 2 Ellis' and no Elliott's.
Ellis fits better with the family name.

I’m not going to be much help as I LOVE both

Which one do you prefer? I think your son will be very happy with either of these names ☺️

honeybunlatte · 27/10/2019 12:42

Elliott is much much nicer than Ellis!

MissHenty · 27/10/2019 12:43

How about Eli ? (I still love both Elliott and Ellis though)

Spied · 27/10/2019 12:45

Ellis. Prefer Eli as pp suggested.

BillieEilish · 27/10/2019 12:46

Elliott much nicer. Ellis is... tacky IMO

tisonlymeagain · 27/10/2019 16:28

Not keen on Ellis but might be clouded by knowing one.

Eli as others have mentioned - or even Elias? I love that.

Minai · 27/10/2019 16:49

Love Elliott but prefer it spelt Elliot. Not keen on Ellis.

NameChange30 · 27/10/2019 16:51

diddlediddle · 27/10/2019 18:23

Elliot is a gorgeous and classy name.

Ellis not so much. It's very surnamey.

Kanga83 · 27/10/2019 18:24

123Dancewithme · 29/10/2019 23:30

Ellis. Don’t like Elliot at all.

hiimmumma · 30/10/2019 10:25

Thanks everyone.
I don't like Eli or Elijah as much (but they are nice names).

I think I prefer Elliott now (keep changing my mind) but my partner prefers Ellis.
He just thinks of ET when I say Elliott.

I also think Elliott can be shortened to Ellis but he isn't convinced.

I never considered either names with my first Son!

Also Elliott or Elliot? Is one way more traditional?
(I know I can just google this)
I didn't want a name where he would have to clarify the spelling his whole life..

OP posts:
NameChange30 · 30/10/2019 12:54

Don't call him Elliot(t) then!

babycakes1010 · 30/10/2019 12:55

Ellis
