Do you associate this name with anything?

I'm assuming MN represents a decent cross section and me and DH have different views on a name, he thinks too many people will associate it but I think the reference is old and niche enough now that it isn't a problem for most people.

It's the name of a charity I donate to.

I immediately started humming "I don't care cause i'm still free
you can't take the sky from me" so it was an immediate association but I think you might be right about it being fairly niche. Obviously if they remake it as they seem to be doing with everything else right now, it might become problematic though.

Yeah, I recognised it, took me a minute or so to remember Firefly. But she was an interesting character and I don't think it really matters if you love the name. Does it exist outside the show?

I don't know how I'd feel about a remake- it's a travesty it only got 1 season but you can't replace that cast!
