Which name goes best with siblings names?

Hello,

This is my 2nd post. Baby is 6 weeks old and still not registered as we cannot decide/ agree on a name 🤦🏻‍♀️🙈
I like rohan/rowan (dh not that keen but could prob talk him around)
Flynn
Xander
I like all of these names equally.

Siblings are Neve and Isaac

Which name do you think goes best with siblings names?

Of your 3 I don't think Rowan matches the other names. Are you a very arty family? The Romans we know have writers or musicians as parents. Xander is ok and comes up a lot on MN but register as Alexander so as a teen he can pick something else for a nickname in case there are too many Xanders.

I wouldn’t worry too much about what goes better with sibling names - I think you’re making it too hard for yourself. I’m sure any of them will work with Isaac and Neve (gorgeous names)

Anyway I think Flynn or Xander would both go well with Isaac and Neve.

You said your husband not so keen on Rohan/Rowan and neither am I as it gets muddled with Roman (top 50 name) and I don’t like the inevitable nickname Row (which sounds like rowing a boat). Rowan is by far the most common name of the three with nearly x3 times as many Rowans as Flynn’s or Xander in 2018 according to the ONS government data x

I know you don’t like the nickname Alex but I think if you registered your son “Alexander” but told nursery and school etc you’d like him to be known as “Xander” then that wouldn’t get shortened to Alex as he’d only use his full name on exams or whatever. My nursery never uses my sons full name - most people probably don’t even know it

Ah bless you yes I can tell you’re getting stressed and I really sympathise. Boys names are hard.

I think Xander /Alexander goes best with Isaac and Neve of the three names but I really dont think that’s the most important thing. If you prefer Flynn then just pick that name.

You said your DH isn’t keen on Rowan and you don’t love the name and don’t like the spelling. Why don’t you cross that name off the list or just decide to use it as a middle name.

Also, this kind of name anxiety can in some cases be a sign of post natal depression so look after yourself

What about Rua? Can be spelled Ruadh with is the Irish spelling.

To be honest I don’t think that Neve and Isaac really ‘go’ (and I don’t believe sibling names have to!!) as one is from the Irish Niamh and Isaac is biblical. So I would just pick whatever you prefer and not worry about ‘matching’!

Rowan is lovely, it's on my list.

Rua is pronounced Roo-ah.

Definitely Flynn. Sounds awesome with sibling names.

I'm also liking Jude at the moment just to throw another name out there.

You already know I love isaac and neve 😂 I like xander flynn as a name. I know your stressing, have you tried using the names in conversation eg rohan needs a nappy change
Flynn needs feeding
Xander needs a nap
I found doing this helped as it made me realise which one 'felt right'

I have boys called Roan and Fynn.

Zack goes nice with isaac.

I think Isaac, Neve and Xander go well because they all have a hard vowel sound the "z" sound in Isaac and Xander and the V in neve tied them together in my opinion.
