Have picked this if we have a girl but unsure how to spell it. What do you think?

To me Lyla looks like Layla missing the a.
And I actually prefer Layla as a name so I'd go Lilah.

Or Leila?

I thought Leila was pronounced lay-la or lee-la, not lie-la?

Laila is arabic for night, and that is the transliteration. It's pronounced Lie-lah

The Leila I know (German origins) pronounces it Lie-La.
