Really struggling with girl names!

Help! Really stuck on girls names - lots I quite like, but none I love.

Top contender is Livia (I'm a classicist), but slightly concerned because I'm not Italian (and she will spend a lot of time clarifying that she's not Olivia)
Like Sophia, Cecilia, Isla and Elspeth.

But very stuck! Torn between wanting a nice classical name but nothing too out there, or a classic English name. I don't want something extremely common, but also nothing too unique. Grateful for any ideas!

With Olivia being so popular at the moment, and in recent years, I do think she would spend a lot of time saying "No not 'Olivia'", you are right.

What about Elizabeth ?

Vita is a gorgeous classical girl's name. Or Cecilia?

MrsSchadenfreude · 07/10/2019 22:43

If you like Livia, why not Ligia, or Lydia?

Lydia?

NoSauce · 07/10/2019 22:45

Yes I love Vita and Alba too.

Not keen on Livia or Olivia tbh. It’s not a classic imo, I think it’s dated now.

Livia is lovely, my twin nieces are Alivia and Alexis.

Agree Livia will lead to confusion.

I think Livia is a recognisably different name from Olivia - and much nicer.
Cecilia is great as well.
