Sorry for so many posts, I'm just immensely struggling with girls names.
What do you all think of the name Chloe?
It was a name I asked about on mumsnet back in 2014 along with Molly, as I loved them both. Although not sure I can see the appeal of Molly anymore!
Still like Matilda but worried about all the nickname options.
So I thought..... How does Chloe Matilda sound? With Noah and Jacob.
Thanks.

Chloe Matilda goes very well.

Here are some more suggestions :

Chloe Eloise
Chloe Olivia
Chloe Leanne
Chloe Elizabeth

I'm not keen on Chloë, don't think it sounds at all feminine. Reminds me of Chlorine and Klo (Loo in German).

Matilda is far nicer. (If a little popular)

MrsBertBibby · 04/10/2019 07:36

Not keen, really. On either Chloe or Matilda.

daisypond · 04/10/2019 07:38

I like it. Nice strong name. Not twee or frilly.

FamilyOfAliens · 04/10/2019 07:38

She will be one of many in school, though it is slipping down the list now, so maybe the other Chloes will all be older.

Alicatz66 · 04/10/2019 07:41

I think Chloe is a lovely name ... and Matilda ! Great choices

Inlovewitharagorn · 04/10/2019 08:18

Have you considered Zoe?
Chloe is fine but, having been the most popular UK girls' name for so long, it still feels very over-used.
Zoe feels a bit fresher to me.

Winterlogs · 04/10/2019 08:40

Chloe isn't that popular in my opinion. Haven't taught any. Think it's a nice, feminine name and pretty but not frilly

Really dislike Matilda, find awful.

MissHenty · 04/10/2019 09:28

I absolutely love the name chloe. Wish it was my name 🤣 can’t say that about many names

But I also love Matilda. Two of my favourites

I think people talking about how popular it is must have slightly older children as it’s about to slip outside the top 40 names:

Hate it. Makes me think of ‘cloying’

SoftBlocks · 04/10/2019 09:31

I like Chloe. Not keen on Matilda.

LilacTreeShades · 04/10/2019 09:34

I think it's a pretty name. I had a goldish named that, when I was nine.

NoSauce · 04/10/2019 09:36

I like Chloe, it’s pretty dated now and was popular in the 90s but there’s something about it that I like.

Love Matilda.

FreddyFazbear · 04/10/2019 09:40

Chloe is lovely.

Don't worry about whether it's 'too' popular, as some have suggested. Both my DC have VERY popular names and there is only one other of each name in a school of 200.

petbleedinparrot · 04/10/2019 10:37

Possibly identifying though I've only made one other post under this username Grin I'm a Chloe in my early 20s. I've always been told it's popular but I rarely meet others (of any age). I love my name, to be honest.

AverageMummy · 04/10/2019 12:05

It’s ok but I prefer Cleo

123Dancewithme · 04/10/2019 20:42

It feels quite dated. Matilda Chloe would be nicer.
