Robbie and Rosie

Hi all,

I have one DS called Robert, nn Robbie. I'm now expecting a girl, due in January, and I'm so stuck on names. DH and my favourite girl's name before DS was born was Rosanna, but we don't think we can have a Robbie and Rosie! Just too twee?

I've also since discovered about the twin rabbits on Peppa Pig with those names, which has really killed Rosie for us... Angry

Can anyone suggest some similar

Similar classic girls names? I also like Tabitha, Flora and Poppy as examples.

Our last name had 3 syllables so needs to be shortenable. Middle name likely to be Claire.

I think Robbie and Rosie are fine. If they were twins it might be tricky but as they get older you’ll rarely say their names together

Rosie is a lovely name

I don't think Robbie and Rosie are awful together, especially if they're short for Robert and Rosanna, so could have different nicknames later anyway. Robbie and poppy is worse!

Couldn't you have Rosanna and shorten it to something else? eg Rosa / Anna / Zanna?

I think Robbie and Rosie are the names of Mrs Rabbit's twins in Peppa Pig! She has them after Rebecca and Richard. It's a bit worrying how much I know about that fecking program Grin!

Matilda and Daisy are both very nice. I especially like Matilda. It's sweet. It's reasonably popular, but not mega common where I live.

No you’re quite right they’re not. It’s just that their the names of Mummy and Daddy Rabbits’ baby twins in peppa pigGrin
