I went to school with a Dahlia and there was zero issue.

I really like it but where the flower is pronounced ‘day’ people always get the name confused so that would probably annoy me too much

I find it a bit frumpy. It's not a very dynamic or charismatic sounding flower. I agree that it's similar to geranium.

I really like it. Mind you I love dahlias so I might be biased. It feels very 20's as a name. Mind you that might be because of Jeeves and Wooster.

Also the nickname surely would sound like daily rather than daali.
