Hubby and I are struggling to agree on a name and baby due in a few weeks! We both like quite traditional names but want to avoid anything too frequently used. Already have a little girl called Georgina.

Girls:
Francesca
Kaitlyn
Grace (middle name)
Elizabeth (middle name)

Boys:
Edward
Daniel
James

Thoughts or suggestions?

I like Francesca! Goes well with Georgina.

The boys names are dull and overused imo.

Antigonads · 26/09/2019 22:36

Love Francesca.

Not fond of Kaitlyn unless pronounced as it should be.

Edward.

123Dancewithme · 26/09/2019 22:36

Francesca goes quite well with Georgina. I like Daniel from your boys list.

Letthemysterybe · 26/09/2019 22:38

Not fond of Kaitlyn unless pronounced as it should be.. There’s more than one pronunciation?!

Tillygetsit · 26/09/2019 22:46

Francesca is lovely. Daniel is a favourite of mine.

Chocolatecake12 · 26/09/2019 22:50

Francesca is ok - the best of your girls names.
How about
Victoria
Caroline
Jennifer

Daniel or Edward for your boys names are equally lovely. Other suggestions
Henry
William
Robert

pallisers · 26/09/2019 22:52

I like all your boys names

I love Elizabeth as a first name.

Francesca is also lovely.

How about Constance? or Cordelia?

MissHenty · 26/09/2019 22:54

Francesca is nice but the ones I know have been shortened to Franny .... which sounds a bit like ... 🤭

MrsBertBibby · 26/09/2019 22:55

Briony

Robert

HeartvsHead · 26/09/2019 23:08

Hubby and I both have three brothers each which is making the boys names so hard. Most of the ones suggested are the uncles!

LarkDescending · 26/09/2019 23:08

Francesca is nice, as are Edward and James.

Other thoughts:

Felicity, Helena, Louisa, Lucinda

Christopher, David, Nicholas, Richard

tweedledeedo · 26/09/2019 23:19

James

Gigimum · 27/09/2019 02:15

I really like James for a boy,.

Have you thought of Faye for a girl, it's traditional and not over used

Shadow1234 · 27/09/2019 03:05

Francesca is beautiful and goes well with Georgina.

I personally wouldn't use one of the uncles names as a first name, (only because I would feel like I was honouring one uncle more than the other 5). May be a silly reason to a lot of people, but thats just how I would feel.

diddlediddle · 27/09/2019 05:35

Francesca Elizabeth

Edward James

joystir59 · 27/09/2019 05:53

Really nice names.

wizzler · 27/09/2019 06:08

How about Abigail Grace?
I love Daniel from your boys list

Inlovewitharagorn · 27/09/2019 08:47

Francesca is lovely.
I'm not a fan of Kaitlyn.
Other names to go with Georgina:
Kate, Catherine, Felicity, Josephine, Madeleine, Evelyn, Eleanor

I like Edward out of your boys' names. Not keen on the others.

CakeRattleandRoll · 27/09/2019 09:08

Love Francesca and Edward.

AverageMummy · 27/09/2019 09:21

The boy names are all lovely
The girls names are ok
I prefer Frances to Francesca

HeartvsHead · 27/09/2019 09:36

@Shadow1234 that's what we are trying to avoid but with Robert, William, Thomas, Henry, Christopher, Jacob and Ben (including hubby) we are struggling!

Some good suggestions thank you. Oddly enough some of them such as Felicity, Jennifer and Catherine were on our list first time round. May have to revisit!

I also work with children so that rules out a few for me by association...

Girls:
Francesca - It goes well with Georgina
Kaitlyn - not that spelling
Grace (middle name) - bit of a filler name
Elizabeth (middle name) - nice

Boys:
Edward
Daniel
James - favourite

FelicityFlutterby · 27/09/2019 15:05

I love Francesca and like all your boy names.

Francesca Grace is lovely.

FelicityFlutterby · 27/09/2019 15:05

PS: Felicity is also lovely Wink!

IckleBear · 27/09/2019 18:37
