I love the name Luca but baby’s last name will also start with an L. What do people think of alliterative names?

Baby’s full name would be Luca James Lomas

I’m just not sure 😩

I like Luca and don’t think it is too much of a clash. Can think of a child in our class who is a doubler and I can’t say I’d noticed before this prompted me to think about it. Some work, some don’t. X

bridgetreilly · 20/09/2019 17:59

I think it's okay.

Shadow1234 · 20/09/2019 18:00

I think it sounds fine, and love the name Luca.

CecilyBlue · 20/09/2019 18:01

I really like it.

troppibambini · 20/09/2019 18:02

I think it's fine.
I have a Luca I love it.

mypuddin · 20/09/2019 18:12

I like it too.

MikeUniformMike · 20/09/2019 19:27

Luca Lomas is a bit too alliterative but it is better than Lucas Lomas. I'm not keen on Luca but like Lucas.

TheCraicDealer · 20/09/2019 19:33

I don't have an issue with alliterative names generally, but Luca Lomas is too much.

Butterfly005 · 20/09/2019 20:56

I actually think the whole alliterative thing works quite well actually. Luca Lomas sounds good.

Morado · 20/09/2019 21:12

There are a lot of famous people with alliterated names. My daughter has one and people say "she sounds like a movie star" Grin

Morado · 20/09/2019 21:12

I meant to add that it makes them memorable!

Treaclebee · 20/09/2019 21:15

Love it!
Am a fan of alliterative names in general, love the way they trip off the tongue.

Loveislandaddict · 20/09/2019 21:15

Sounds fine

CocoLoco87 · 20/09/2019 21:17

I like it! Flows well rather than being a mouthful.

Jellycat00 · 20/09/2019 21:27

My daughter has an alliterative name. Lots of people do. Luca Lomas sounds fine to me!

manicmij · 20/09/2019 21:41

Like Luca but he will be referenced Look!-a-Luca -s when at school. They don't go together.

DramaAlpaca · 20/09/2019 23:51

Hmm, I think it's too much. Sorry.

ariamontgomery · 21/09/2019 10:27

I think alliterative names are great! Luca James Lomas sounds particularly good when all said together. Shame people don't use middle names much as it does sound very cool. But Luca Lomas alone still sounds nice.

userabcname · 21/09/2019 10:40

I think it's fine. I'm a teacher and loads of kids have alliterative names. Really not a big deal at all.

Antonin · 21/09/2019 12:10

Sounds great with no problem to the alliteration

harvey30 · 21/09/2019 20:41

Meltedicicle · 21/09/2019 20:42
