Name ds Brody if we already have a ds is called Quinn or is the homeland connection too obvious.
Dh thinks most won't notice the connection but I'm worried it's a bit much.

if not, what alternatives would you suggest?

I wouldn’t worry

I watched the first few series ofHomeland but that seems yonks ago now and the name connection didn’t come to mind until you mentioned it.
If anyone in future says anything you just say, oh isn’t that a coincidence.
The series are old hat now and not a part of mainstream culture like many were so don’t think you need to worry at all unless you belong to a Homeland fan club. Certainly your DSs contemporaries won’t be aware.

I prefer the Scottish spelling of Brodie. I wouldn’t worry too much about the Homeland connection, I watched it & it was only because you mentioned it that it reminded me.

Quinn and Brody sound great together and I wouldn't make the connection (but I've never watched Homeland )

Big homeland fan, but I'd definitely make the connection. Alternatives could be Saul, Dante, Far, Abu, Otto...

We know a Brodie and it's a lovely name, go for it! I haven't watched Homeland either so I can't comment on that part but it wouldn't worry me if someone called their kids Jon and Sansa (GOT), I'd think it was great!

Never watched it, I wouldn't worry! Even if it's popular now, in a few years no one will know. I know someone who called their little ones Sasha and Levy, you'd know the connection if you watched Holby City but otherwise it wouldn't mean anything and she is certainly now aware of it!

I know a girl called Brodie and it always sounds like Broody to me. Not keen.

I know a 2yo Brodie, one that’s about 18/19 & 1 who is mid 30’s.

Seth was always on my list but Dh hates it.

I think of Jaws. Chief Brody and Quint, the shark catcher.

I’ve got a friend who named her 2 ds’s Ross and Ben 😀
