I don’t mind the double S as my husbands name begins with s
But do you think it has a nice ring or is a bit of a mouthful?
Thanks x

It’s not a match made in heaven but I think it’s fine.

TheDragonFromDreams · 18/09/2019 07:22

Alliterative names are the best!

Peony99 · 18/09/2019 07:37

I think it is a bit hissy, I'm afraid. And what if she had a lisp?

IsolaPribby · 18/09/2019 07:38

I think it sounds lovely!

RuggyPeg · 18/09/2019 07:42

It sounds like you're planning on her being a pop star!

Sheitgeist · 18/09/2019 07:42

I like it... strong and sassy!

Namefornumber3 · 18/09/2019 07:43

Haha don’t all kids have a bit of a lisp?!
My two certainly did
Also quite like the nickname cc thinking about it

daisypond · 18/09/2019 07:43

I think it’s OK. I like it.

Kanga83 · 18/09/2019 07:43

Don't like alliteration names, sorry. They sound like cartoon characters to me.

Namefornumber3 · 18/09/2019 07:43

@RuggyPeg dear lord no!!!

Shadow1234 · 18/09/2019 07:45

Sounds fine

C0untDucku1a · 18/09/2019 07:46

Made me think of samantha stevens and her twin serena.

I like it.

Newday1 · 18/09/2019 08:37

Like it!

FizzyGreenWater · 18/09/2019 10:19

Um, don't like it sorry. It sounds a bit Lois Lane! But I am not a fan of Sienna at all so that's probably it. In general, alliterative names are good, but I think least good when it's an S.

Also have to say Stevens is not the most madly interesting surname so I would really want to lift it with a name that sounded completely different to it, if you see what I mean?

The three syllables and ending with 'a' is good with Stevens though.

Tamara Stevens
Miranda Stevens

something like that rhythm.

Ohyesiam · 18/09/2019 10:21

I like a bit of sibilance! It sounds good.

99bb · 18/09/2019 10:22

Too many S for me. If the surname just had the one S sound, it might work, but I wouldn’t. I’d say that about a lot of letters, but I think S is especially challenging

moonpiggle · 18/09/2019 10:28

Overthinking this! Its lovely.

Antonin · 18/09/2019 11:23

It sounds fine. People are only being hypercritical because you asked them to analyse it. Normally people wouldn’t give the alliteration a second thought. If you think about it, the combination of first name and surname beginning with S is very common and nobody blinks an eye.

Jellycat00 · 21/09/2019 10:04

It's lovely! Sounds like it could be an actresses name on stage 😁

Fivebeanchilli · 21/09/2019 10:10

I'm not a big Sienna fan but I think it sounds good with that surname.

LarkDescending · 21/09/2019 11:18

I actually like S names together, but then I went to school with an achingly cool girl called (something very similar to) Saskia Snow and she made it very glamorous!

TheRLodger · 21/09/2019 11:23

I really like it

AlliKaneErikson · 22/09/2019 04:17

I taught a Sunny Stevens once- quote similar- and I thought it was a great name! Go for it, I reckon!

Derbee · 23/09/2019 00:32

I LOVE alliterative names. Sienna Stevens sounds like a superhero Grin

Morado · 23/09/2019 00:43

My DD has an alliterated name. I love them! Sienna Stevens sounds very cool 😁👌
