Two weeks to go...

I’m due to have this baby in 2 weeks, don’t know the sex.
So far we have a list of boy/girl names but none of them really feel like ‘the one’. Part of me is hoping once I meet the baby then one of the names will fit. On the other hand, if I like these names, what else might I like that I haven’t yet considered?!
Thank you
Names are:
Willa
Olive
Ada
Connie
Middle name will probably be either Frances or Marguerite (family names)
Wilfred
Kit
Jesse
Lucas/Luca
Again family middle names which are Eduard and Ian.
Thoughts welcome!

Going off your list - Ivy, Edith, Martha, Ida, Odette, Una, Bridget, Moira, Jean.

I like Martha and Jean.

Stanley, Albert and Alfred.

All your girls names are very drab. Kit is OK.

MrsBertBibby · 16/09/2019 23:33

Ada goes best with those middle names. Willa is awful.

Lucas is the best of the boys, Luca doesn't work at all with Eduard (yes) or Ian (No!)

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 16/09/2019 23:38

Rex

Keir

Ruan

But love your potentials Lucas Eduard/ Kit Eduard!

ZuzuMyLittleGingersnap · 16/09/2019 23:49

Marguerite is pretty, versatile for shorteners, and rarely used
(in these parts anyway: central south region) .

Need it only be the second name?!

Morado · 16/09/2019 23:57

Willa is my favorite from your girls list. I met a lovely girl named Willa last year and fell in love with it! It's not one I'd use myself but it's beautiful ❤️

From tour boys list I only like Jesse and Lucas/Luca.. Prefer Luca of these two.

LarkDescending · 16/09/2019 23:58

How about a tweak - Luke Eduard?

LarkDescending · 16/09/2019 23:59

Tessa?

berryhigh · 17/09/2019 11:56

How about:

Nancy, Stella, June, Adeline, Cleo, Pearl, Rosie

Jude, Monty, Otto, Felix, Ralph, Elijah

berryhigh · 17/09/2019 11:58

You may also like Thea, Tess or Greta

HOW DID ANYONE HEAR OF THIS GORGEOUS NAME WILLA??

I only met one recently. Have been obsessed with baby names for years. How have I never heard it before on forums or anything? It’s GORGEOUS

MissHenty · 17/09/2019 12:01

Girls

Emmy/Emmie
Edith
Margaret/Maggie
Wren
Ottilie
Delilah
Alice

But seriously Willa is better than all the suggestions on this page put together

Boys
Rudi/Rudy
Alistair
Clarence
Eli
Ellis
Rex
Milo

I really love the names Wilfred and Kit though and would pick one of them

Sparklypurpleunicornsaremyfav · 17/09/2019 19:43

LOVE willa 😍😍😍😍😍😍
I also love Connie but Connie Frances (might be different spelling) was a 1950's singer)
Love Wilfred too

Figuringitout · 17/09/2019 22:01

Thank you - interestingly my other daughters’ names have both been suggested, so I clearly have a type! I think Willa and Kit are winning for me at the moment - although I worry that Kit is too much of a nickname. Can it be an abbreviation of anything other than Christopher (which I’m not that keen on?)

Girls:
Bonnie
Eva
Annie
Mollie
Ava

Boys:
Albie
Liam
Ezra

Kit could also be short for Christian which is a bit more unusual than Christopher?

bridgetreilly · 18/09/2019 10:25

Ada Frances

Christopher (Kit) Eduard

VenusClapTrap · 19/09/2019 18:32

I love Marguerite.

I think Kit is fine as a stand-alone name, personally.

Jossina · 20/09/2019 05:06

Kit could be a nn for Charles too.

daisypond · 20/09/2019 06:43

Willa - I like this a lot, based on the writer Willa Cather. But I fear it will be confused with Willow, which I don’t like.
Olive - OK. I try to like this but it does have a drab image to me. On The Buses etc.
Ada- very bland. Not keen.
Connie- not keen. Constance is nice. Might be concerned about “cunny” comments.

Wilfred- not keen.
Kit- I like it but it has to have a longer form. Quite a few Kits around where I am. Could you have Kip short for Crispin? Kit short for Quentin or Quintus?
Jesse- dated by about 20 years.
Lucas/Luca- Lucas is great. Also Luke, Lucien etc. Luca is naff unless you’re Italian.

Frith2013 · 20/09/2019 18:41

Willa - reminds me of villi, in the intestines
Olive - awful, harsh, ugly name
Ada - ok
Connie - ok
Middle name will probably be either Frances or Marguerite (family names)
Wilfred - ok
Kit - P.E?
Jesse - no
Lucas/Luca - ok
Again family middle names which are Eduard and Ian.

MrsGilly1 · 24/09/2019 01:09

Florrie?
Lettie?

ilovepixie · 24/09/2019 01:19

Willa is lovely.
