Alliteration first and last name not sure if it’s too weird.

So we decided on a name a long time ago as Henry. However our surname also begins with a H. We’re unsure if this will sound too weird for our baby but we don’t really like any other names and everyone has called him Henry since about month 4 of my pregnancy. What is everyone else’s opinions ?

My DS has his first name and surname beginning with the same letter, it genuinely never crossed my mind as an issue when naming him and nobody has ever mentioned it. I just liked the name and it happened to start with the same letter as his surname. I think you're overthinking it.

The idea used to annoy me but it’s grown on me somehow.

My dd1 has an alliterative name. Suits her. Henry Hudson sounds very distinguished.

That’s what happened with us we just really liked the name Henry and couldn’t think of anything else we liked. Luckily I’ve convinced my partner that it’s a good name. Apparently he knows a lot of people who called their dog Henry as well.

Henry is fine with your surname.

My initials are HH and I actually really love it! I think alliteration makes the names flow nicely and you can always give him a middle name so if he doesn’t like it he can go by that name and overall will break the name up. I’d draw the line at names that rhyme or sort do rhyme but there’s no risk of that with your choice.

I also love the name Henry- it’s on my name list too. Don’t overthink it and just run with what you like!

Hudson is a great surname! I don't particularly like Henry, but I think they sound good.

Middle name? Robert?
