Boys names with our surname - help!

I’m 37 weeks with DC2 - we don’t know if boy or girl. We’ve chosen a lovely girls name but really stuck on boys!

Our surname is Head which can make some really lovely names difficult or downright awful....please could anyone help with some boys name suggestions? I like old fashioned names but would like to avoid anything too overly popular so happy to go with names that are more unusual too... thanks in advance!

Anthony. I'd have to.

Ant Head? Tony Head?*

I don't get it. Confused

He's an actor - Buffy, Cabin Pressure, Gold Blend ads.
He has a brother called Murray.

How about Beachy?

Tristram Head
Alaric Head
Stanley Head
Ernest Head
Fergus Head
Peter Head

Not Peter Head, he will sound like a Scottish fishing port.

Not anything with initial A . A Head = lots of ahead jokes.

I think more syllables with a short sharp surname.

Dominic, Douglas, Grayson, Lawrence, Simon, William?

Fi1982 · 09/09/2019 22:27

P. Head not the best initial either Blush

Lavenderblues · 09/09/2019 22:33

Definitely not Edward - Ed Head Grin

Surnames as first names are trendy. How about Birkin or
Gates?
Rattray would be good too.

Argh so sorry for not replying to my own thread for so long! Been away - last jaunt before baby shows up - tried not to go into labour whilst away Grin

Thank you so much for all your suggestions! Some of these are really great, the problem is DH and I can't agree on any. The working name so far is.... Rafe Michael James Head. Michael and James both have family connections as middle names. We both like Rafe. I'm just not sure Rafe Head works.... too monosyllabic??

Think I will start a separate thread!
