What do you think of the name Marina?
Any other suggestions for nautical/seaside inspired names?
Many thanks.

Really really like it

Thank you for suggestion of Nerissa however I think it would be far too matchy with Noah. Noah and Nerissa Confused

I also think Last of the Summer Wine and am now realising that probably does make me old as Father says above!

Did your coil fail?

‘Aqua Marina’ from Stingray.

My dd’s headteacher, who fancied my dad. She hadn’t met my mom or she wouldn’t have dared.

Her0utdoors · 03/09/2019 19:29

Her off of Last of the Summers Wine? Makes me think of stilettos and a bicycle.

Sophronia · 03/09/2019 20:55

Marina is a beautiful name!

RickOShay · 03/09/2019 20:58

Really like Marina, it’s lovely. I know they are very different but I also like Sailor and Ocean Grin

noahsmum2016 · 03/09/2019 23:19

I heard the same Sailor on a little girl a couple of years ago and I fell in love. However I really like traditional names hence why my son is Noah. Biblical, strong and traditional. So sadly I dont think I could use it. Marina is very traditional and seems to suit my style.

Marina is beautiful.

Sportsnight · 03/09/2019 23:28

I like Mara and Cora.

A quick google brings up Cordelia and Marilla as sea-related.

Noah is also quite nautical so you are still slightly themed!

FlamedToACrisp · 03/09/2019 23:33

My immediate reaction was a Morris Marina (car) or the Stingray character. But actually I quite like it.

Frith2013 · 04/09/2019 00:17

No. Unless you have a boy called Harbour. Or Dry Dock.

DramaAlpaca · 04/09/2019 00:23

I've always liked the name Marina, I think it's beautiful. Sadly I live in an area where there are several marinas so it just wouldn't work for me.

LightDrizzle · 04/09/2019 00:25

I like it!
Calypso was a Nereid I think (a sea nymph), as was Doris, - but I'm not sure we are ready for that one again yet!

IsobelRae23 · 04/09/2019 00:40

Coral

Astronica · 04/09/2019 01:46

Meri (pronouncedroughlyMerry) means sea in Finnish.

ifigoup · 04/09/2019 05:19

Oceana
Océane
Atalanta
India
Coraline
