Would it be strange to have two boys called Oliver and James? I’m thinking of the chef. Confused

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Kungfupanda67 · 01/09/2019 06:06

Nope, if you hadn’t explained it I would have had no clue why that would be strange.

If James is the older one and you call him Jamie then I wouldn’t, but if they’re the order you’ve written them and you call James James then I would struggle to make the connection

Astronica · 01/09/2019 06:21

I wouldn't think of it straight away in that order and if James is James. So fine I think.

BenScalesIsAGod · 01/09/2019 06:41

Thank you. Perhaps overthinking it then

I didn’t make the connection until reading the first reply 😄 if he’ll be/is a Jamie then way more people will make the connection I reckon.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 01/09/2019 11:38

I didn’t notice until you pointed it out. Now I can’t unnotice it, I’m afraid. Either think of something else or don’t mention it

AverageMummy · 01/09/2019 12:25

I didn’t know why it would be till you explained. So no it’s not a problem for me

snipples · 01/09/2019 12:38

I also didn't make the connection. As long as you don't shorten to Jamie.

BikeRunSki · 01/09/2019 12:42

It’s fine, and even if it does make people think of the chef, so what?

Jellycat00 · 06/09/2019 05:01

I agree with BikeRunSki, it wouldn't even matter if it does make people think of Jamie Oliver! But for what it's worth it didn't with me. Lovely names for siblings.

MissHenty · 06/09/2019 11:32

Yeh it took me ages to work out what you were even taking about! I was thinking there must be a pair of chefs called Oliver and James

Don’t give it a second thought.Jamie Oliver will probably have retired in the next few years anyway

Nonameyet1 · 07/09/2019 11:53

Both lovely names
Go for it

helpmum2003 · 07/09/2019 11:55

I know brothers called these names and it never crossed my mind. Lovely names!
