We recently decided on Rosa Genevieve for a little girl but I can't get the name Alice out of my head - would Rosa Alice Genevieve be OTT? Still love Rosa Genevieve but think Rosa Alice Genevieve looks so pretty written down. I love the name Alice but can't use it as a first name as it clashes with our surname! It sounds nice with Genevieve after it though.

I'd go with the two middle names. Looks and sounds lovely.

I think it's lovely but (as someone who's initials aren't great!) the first thing I noticed was RAG. Not necessarily an issue and possibly wouldn't occur to most people. In fact, if your last name starts with an E I think I'd quite like it Grin

Sounds lovely! Go with the two middle names.

We are going with two for our little boy due December. One is a family middle name, and one we will chose :)

bridgetreilly · 22/08/2019 12:21

I wouldn't. I don't like the double a of Rosa Alice and I don't like the RAG initials.

My sister and l have two.

My DC have two also —as well as a double barrelled surname— Grin

My ds1 has two middle names, ds2 due in November will be having two middle names too

Cruddles · 22/08/2019 13:09

My two have to middle names so go for it. But in your case I'd swap your two middle names around

foxtiger · 22/08/2019 13:53

I like all of the names individually and I have nothing against two middle names (my own DSs both have two) but I find Rosa Alice a bit hard to say because of the two As. How do you feel about Rosa Genevieve Alice? It uses all the same names but just flows a bit better in my opinion. This is the reason why my DS2's middle names are John George rather than George John, even though if I'd stuck to the same pattern of DS1's name (with a grandparent's name in third place) it would have been the other way round. But you try saying George John out loud!

Rosa Genevieve is beautiful.

I also agree with other poster that the 'a' on the end of Rosa runs into the 'a ' at the beginning of Alice. (Having said that, middle names are very rarely said out loud together, so wouldn't be a big issue as such)

Sophronia · 22/08/2019 18:30

I think Rosa Genevieve Alice sounds nicer.

AverageMummy · 23/08/2019 09:39

Rosa Genevieve is stunning
RAG are awful initials especially for a girl
Rosa Genevieve Alice is pretty
Might you have more children? You might want to use Alice in the future
