We don’t know if we’re having a boy or girl yet, but decided on our boy’s name very easily (Felix). However we just can’t seem to agree on a girl’s name. I haven’t come across any names that I’ve fell in love with, like I have with Reuben and Felix. My oh likes Eden and Wren, which I don’t hate but I don’t love either. Middle name will be Florence so it has to fit. I’m hoping the collective wisdom of Mumsnet can help us find the perfect name!

Reuben and Wren is a bit rrrrr heavy for me. My daughter struggles with her Rs and I think it’s quite common with young children. Eden and Reuben-the endings are too similar for me. Sorry!

First to mind was Felicity

CBeebies I agree with your comment about Wren, that was one of the things that was putting me off the name. I hadn’t thought about the Reuben and Eden sounding too similar though.

I really like Matilda, my oh doesn’t though, same goes for Naomi and Elodie. Felicity is really pretty, not sure it would fit with Florence as a middle name though. Thanks everyone, more suggestions welcome.

Love Florence.

I'd go for something traditional.

Could you have Florence as the first name if you like it? Then use Wren or Eden as a middle name?

Thank you for all the suggestions, there are some beautiful names here. We have chosen Florence as a middle name because it’s a tribute to someone very special, but I wanted a new name for their first name because they will be their own person if that makes sense?

I think you lot have found us a name though, we both absolutely love Saskia! Thank you WinterHare. Thoughts on Saskia Florence? Feel free to be brutally honest, I have thick skin.
