Liking Vivienne (Vivi for nn) for new baby due at end of September. Thoughts and other viv names? Is it too grown up for a baby?

Verity.

Not a viv name but vivi still works as a nickname. Plus it’s bloody lovely

I prefer the spelling Vivien, it's less frilly & looks more elegant to me.

I love Vivienne. I think it’s became more appealing for some reason. I think If you asked someone 30 years ago. They’d have said it wAs dowdy and frumpy or that I’d made them think of Vivian from the young ones.
However now it’s classy cool and elegant.

I like to spell it as Vivian... but I got swiftly 'corrected' :(

BigFatBloomers · 18/08/2019 22:00

I know someone (female) who spells it as Viviane.
I like that spelling as it also doesn’t look quite so frilly

Not to grown up for a baby. She is known as V or Vee by some and Vivvy by a few.

*too

Just seen Viviana too. Thoughts?
I like Viviane as well, thanks @BigFatBloomers

Vivienne is really classy
Love the suggestion of Verity above

I like Viviana. And Vivi is a sweet nickname especially when she's little.

Tallsocks · 19/08/2019 14:23

I have a friend with a DD named Vienne. They just call her V but Vivi would work.

TatianaLarina · 19/08/2019 17:58

Vivienne is an Essex beautician.

Violet, Viola, Venetia and Viva (Veeva) are lovely though.

Sophronia · 21/08/2019 00:20

I prefer Vivien
