Middle name for Lois?

Florencenotflo · 16/08/2019 17:16

Dd2 due next week and we like either:

Lily (middle name Sophia) or Lois but I can't think of a middle name. Surname begins with T (2 syllables).

I've been trying to incorporate my grandads name somehow (Ronald) as he passed away just after dd1 was born. The only feminine version of Ronald is Veronica and I'm not keen on that.

But any suggestions of regular middle names greatly appreciated!!

I know a Lois Niamh, which I always liked.

AvengerDanvers95 · 16/08/2019 17:30

Lois Rona has a nice flow I think.

Shadow1234 · 16/08/2019 17:35

The only other name I can think of with 'Ron' in it, is Rhonda, which has also been known to be spelt as 'Ronda' (without the 'h')

Amelia flows well after Lois

LeithWalk · 16/08/2019 17:47

You could get away with Rona or even Nica from Veronica.

Love Lois.

Or completely different Ava.

LittleFairywren · 16/08/2019 17:52

I like Lois Rona. I don't think it matters if it's not a proper name for a middle name.

Or I've heard of Ronica.

Heratnumber7 · 16/08/2019 18:02

It depends on how you'd pronounce Lois. I've heard Low-iss and also Loyce.

MikeUniformMike · 16/08/2019 18:16

The Loyce pronunciation is popular in Wales.

Cornishmum00 · 16/08/2019 18:20

I know several female Ronnies so maybe Lois Ronnie?

BelindasGleeTeam · 16/08/2019 18:25

Lois Rona is a lovely idea.

Always heard it as Low-iss round here.

ThePittts · 16/08/2019 18:33

Lois Mary

Lois is a lovely name

Florencenotflo · 16/08/2019 18:35

I'd pronounce it Low-is. Love the idea of Rona! Will see what DH thinks.

Some great suggestions though thank you! @IckleBear I love Lois Harper! DH wanted Harper as a first name but I wasn't keen.

YahBasic · 16/08/2019 18:40

I really like the flow of Lois Ronnie Harper.

Florencenotflo · 16/08/2019 19:40

@YahBasic so do I!! I wasn't keen on Ronnie, grandad was Ron, never Ronnie. But I do like that!

Mike. I'm Welsh, so that explains that!

BethanyGilbert · 18/08/2019 19:06

Another one for Lois Rona.
DD has a dance teacher with the name Rona and she is very glamorous.
