Middle name suggestions!

My partner and I have decided on the name Finch for our baby boy. Our surname is also one syllable so we need a middle name with at least two syllables to balance it out!

Please help! Xx

I think you need something a big normal in the middle.

As Finch is quite a marmite name, I'd suggest something a bit more middle of the road so he has the option to use it in later life if he wants to.
I like Alexander

I like a good solid family name for a middle name. Got anything you can work with on either side?

I think a middle name is a great place for something meaningful -- either a grandparent's name, a family name, or something that has a special meaning for you and your partner but isn't quite right for a first name somehow.

Honestly, it doesn't matter how it sounds with Finch -- nobody will ever say his full name other than you guys!

Just have a think about initials and your last name -- might be best to avoid something with a vowel if it would make for an awkward set of initials, for example!

Finch? That’s unusual. Can’t help but think of David Brent shouting FINCHY.

I’d just go for James or John. Give him the choice of something a bit more mainstream when he’s older.
