I really like the band Constance but hate Connie as a nickname- are there any other abbreviations that we could use?

Beautiful name. I like 'Connie' too but you can always call her Constance if you want, you won't be able to stop others doing it.

Lllot5 · 15/08/2019 05:46

Love Constance. One of my favourite names.
Quite like Stan for a nick name.

AverageMummy · 15/08/2019 09:00

I love Connie it’s beautiful and soft whereas Constance is so harsh sounding
Nancy maybe?

I don't think you will escape Connie either, even if you start off with another nickname.

Chitarra · 15/08/2019 14:26

I love Constance with Con as a nickname

diddlediddle · 15/08/2019 16:09

Another vote for coco

SuzieQ10 · 15/08/2019 16:17

A, Coco is cute. I quite like Constance too.

Antonin · 15/08/2019 20:48

Stacey

NeonK · 15/08/2019 20:54

I know a Constance who is always Constance. You don't need a shortened version. Nicknames aren't inevitable.

Ahardma88 · 15/08/2019 21:02

My little girl is constance, I am that parent who corrects others who call her connie. She is only 2 mind

LightDrizzle · 15/08/2019 21:07

I’ve got a 27 year old Constance, I wouldn’t have called her that if I hated Connie though, - and it’s a good job as that’s what she goes by mostly now.

You can’t and shouldn’t have control over their nicknames as they grow up so I think calling her Constance is sadly asking for disappointment, unless you can countenance the possibility of Connie.
She was Coco for a while at school.

Wildone16 · 15/08/2019 21:10

My DD(11) is Constance and she corrects people if they call her Connie. She is now ok with being called Con but only by her close circle

BlueWonder · 15/08/2019 21:20

Tansy?

Snoopy90 · 15/08/2019 21:22

Coco or Nancy

yipyip · 15/08/2019 22:27

Nonnie

NoSauce · 16/08/2019 15:32

Constance is beautiful OP and I agree with you about Connie, it just doesn’t sound nice.

Nancy would be a lovely nn imo.
