Inspiration for boys names?

We thought we had our boys name set (Frank), and we do love it. But we aren’t sure now if it’s the ‘one’. DH and I have very different taste in names, my top 3 names are Julian, Fabian and Malachi, DH’s are Edgar, Stanley and David. Any ideas on boys names?

Out of all the names you've mentioned my favourite is Fabian.

All the names seem quite different/ not sticking to a theme if you know what I mean - don't know if that makes it easier or harder to suggest alternatives you might like??!

Here goes:
Edmund
Arthur
Douglas
Quentin
Robert
Patrick
Jeremy
Andrew
Elliot
Mattheius
Rupert

Julian just reminds me of Julian Clary.

I like Fabian best from your combined choices.

Alexander from PP's suggestions, Frank from yours.
Both great!

Alfred, Alfie for short.

Fabian is a great name! It was our original choice for DS1 but DH decided against it last minute because of a family friend with the same name. But Frank is quite a nice name as well, I went through a stage of wanting an “old fashioned name” for the boys

We’ve narrowed it down to John or Frank

I love the name John!

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 08/08/2019 00:51

We are leaning towards John. It has a lot of meaning to us, is my dad and grandads middle name, my DH’s grandads name and a form of DH’s name.

An excellent name, and although classic, it actually isn't used that much now ;)

Icklepup · 09/08/2019 11:07

I would have suggested Elijah.
I like John out of the two.

My list is pretty basic names! But I’ll do one anyway:

Noah
Oliver
Albie
Leo
Theodore
Teddy
Arlo

Currently trying for a baby + we have our hearts set on a girls name, but no idea what we’d chose if we had a boy!

God we keep changing our mind! Why is it so hard

John is super, loads nicer than Frank to me. It has lots of diminutives as well, whereas Frank is already a diminutive, which puts me off it big time.

Lavenderblues · 10/08/2019 08:28

I really like Fabian, Quentin and Elliott.
