Cbeebiesrehab · 07/08/2019 12:19

AdaColeman · 07/08/2019 12:22

Frederick

I prefer George but I see I'm in the minority!

StrangeOrJustInconsiderate · 07/08/2019 13:11

I prefer George too!

DramaAlpaca · 07/08/2019 13:23

I normally like classic names but I'm not mad on either of these. Of the two, I prefer George. Mainly because I really, really dislike Freddie.

20viona · 07/08/2019 13:24

Freddie

MollyHuaCha · 07/08/2019 13:32

George

Grufallosfriends · 07/08/2019 13:46

Frederick or Fred (not Freddy)

George sounds so pudgy.

Thymejuice · 07/08/2019 13:50

Freddie (Frederick).

sarah2903 · 07/08/2019 14:07

Frederick or Fredric?

OP posts:
Icklepup · 07/08/2019 14:17

Frederick

Grufallosfriends · 07/08/2019 14:23

Fréderic looks French

Frederick looks German and English

victoria0132 · 07/08/2019 14:23

Frederick - never seen it just with the c looks like a typo to me!

AdaColeman · 07/08/2019 14:30

If you spell it Frederic, it will seem like an error, and he will spend his life correcting the spelling of his name, especially with officialdom.

user1493494961 · 07/08/2019 14:44

George, dislike Fred (which he'll become)

Penelopevain · 07/08/2019 17:43

George definitely

sarah2903 · 07/08/2019 18:47

Don't think he will become Fred. I know two little boys who are Freddie. Never known as Fred!

George. I really dislike Freddie and Frederic even more so- sorry.

user1493494961 · 07/08/2019 19:02

Yes, little boys will be Freddie, I think an adult would become Fred. I know a teenage Freddie, his friends call him Fred.

sandyfoot · 07/08/2019 19:09

I remember good advice I had when naming my kids. What would the name sound like in the top of a CV? Both names I like but as adults not sure they work so well and you'll have no control over what a Freddie gets called, that's down to his mates

yikesanotherbooboo · 07/08/2019 19:17

I quite like Fred but not Freddie and would use Frederick for 'long'.
Freddie is a bit of a 'silly ass' name to me .
George is a steady name but I have never taken to it.
