Girl name suggestions

I'm 32 weeks with my first and we have a boys name sorted, but no girls name. We like Julia, but want other suggestions. We like old-fashioned names that are a bit unusual but are open for anything. Thank you.

Isobel, and a variety of different ways of spelling it, has been MASSIVELY used in this part of the world for the last 6 years or so - don't know if that affects your choice at all.

SemperIdem · 07/08/2019 00:51

Isobel (and all the spelling variants that sound identical) and Freya are extremely popular. Ivy is also becoming very popular. Actually the only ones on your list that fit your “old fashioned but a bit unusual” criteria is Julia and Dinah. Shirley was historically a male name.

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 07/08/2019 01:31

I’m not too bothered about popularity, we’d prefer something more uncommon but if we love a popular name it wouldn’t bother us

Ah ok! I see what you mean.

These suggestions are just variants on names you’ve said you like and may well have cast off but I think Juliette and Sylvie are lovely

IAintWroteNoPoetry · 07/08/2019 01:48

We’ve decided on Nancy
