I've got a couple of names I like but my husband isn't budging. So I like ignatius, (iggy) or odin maybe with odie as the nickname he says yes to odie but not odin where as I prefer odin! I quite like mythological names like thelonious and perseus but again I'm getting a no from him. He wants etienne or fox now etienne is just a no for me I'm not against fox 🦊 but I don't really really love it either. Any ideas people he would like me to have a list of three names we can discuss but we are struggling to agree

Beowulf. You get your mythological name and it can be shortened to Wolf which might please your OH!

In my DS school there is a Fox, an Atticus and an Otis. All of them get ridiculed by their peers. I am friends with some of the mums and they have regretted their choice of name for their sons as a result.

What a shame that the parents and staff don’t intervene and stop this ridiculing.

Im also surprised that the school and parents don't teach more open mindedness! I'd hate my children to be brought up so narrow minded to make fun of an 'unusual' name.
