Which name do you personally hear more of?

Albert or William? I know William is more popular overall but think Albert is perhaps more on trend so not reflected in popularity charts etc? Who do you know more of?

I know 1 William, don't know any Alberts but know 2 Albie's.

I don’t know any Williams under the age of ten, but I know four infant school Alberts/Bertie/Albie. The only other Albert or variations I’ve known are now deceased.

Do people really choose names based on how many other people share the same name?

Teacher here..have taught one William but no Alberts in the past 5 years.

I know a ^lot& of Williams, Wills and Bills but no Alberts or Albies though I occasionally hear the name

If they don't want their child to have to add a surname initial to their name (and be one of several in a class) or that a fashionable name falls out of favour and starts to sound dated.

I know lots of Williams but no young Alberts.

I've never come across a little Albert, but know several young Will/Williams.
