Can I ask for your suggestions for A names?

We already have an Aurora.

Love nature names but am not fixated on that.

Have more ideas for girls but next to none for boys! Any suggestions for either would be appreciated, thank you.

Alex?

Not a nature name, but suitable for boy or girl.

Nice as it is, IMO, though you could obviously go the Alexander/dra/dria route for full if you prefer.

Why does it have to begin with A?

If you already have an Aurora I certainly wouldn't use a name beginning with A for another girl (they will get post mixed up and although it's minor I just don't see the need when there are 25 other letters in the alphabet).

For boys:
Abel
Adam
Alec
Arlo

BiBabbles · 31/07/2019 16:18

Naturey ones for girls: Acacia, Abilene, Aderyn, Alssa, Amarantha, Amber, Amethyst, Anthea.

The only possibly masculine one, as a previous poster said, is Aspen.

Other A names:
Girls: Abeni, Adalet, Adelaide, Alethea, Amara, Amerie/Amery, Amina, Annora

Either: Alexis

Boys: Adwin, Andris

Aleydis. I came across it when reading Girl with the Pearl Earring and found it beautiful. It's Dutch I think. I pronounce it a-lay-dis but not sure if that's right

missdumbledore · 31/07/2019 21:08

These are a bit unusual but...
Aphra, Amelie, Almia, Anais (girls)
Atticus, Amos, Aron, Alec (boys)

missdumbledore · 31/07/2019 21:09

Not unusual, but you know what I mean :)
Hope this helps

@NameChange30 I know it's frowned upon on MN but myself and my DH are both A's ... We love the name Aurora having seen the northern lights and picked it long before she was born. So we are accidentally in that pattern and I don't want DC2 to feel left out. May be over thinking that but currently looking for A names.
