Narrowed down to these two.

If louis, which spelling and pronunciation? Should the 'S' BE SILENT AS IN PRINCE LOUIS?

Or is Alfie nicer?

Louis will be hugely popular for the next couple of years, if you spell it any other way the child will spend their life correcting the spelling.
I'm not keen on nicknames used as given names, but like Alfred.
