Like the name but unsure how popular it is.
My sister Laura had four others in her class at school!

I knew 3 but they’ve all died (of old age)

I only know of one (friend of a friend), so it is very likely he will be only one in his class

Laura was a very popular name in 1980s and there’s so many more names in use now than there was then. Even the top name now (Harry), there isn’t a single Harry that I have come across (I know there must be many because it’s the most popular name, but in the 1980s the most popular names like Dave and Nick and Dan you’d have always had many per class)

One - aged about 7 - he's awful (sly little bully type) and his mother is even worse.

I’ve only ever known one Albert. I believe he’s 21/22 now. Albie on the other hand I’ve heard a lot of! Definitely prefer Albert Smile

I know a 4 year old Albert but generally called Albie. I’ve heard a few Albies in playgrounds, don’t know if they are Alberts really or not.

2, both approximately the same age. Must be about 2 years old by now.

SimplySteveRedux · 28/07/2019 22:04

I know of one, goes by Albie, late 20s/early 30s.

Neighbour, who is about 3 is a 'Bertie' - I presume he is Albert, but don't know for sure.

I have to use a database with several thousand pre-schoolers on it, and I don't see many Alberts.

fedup21 · 28/07/2019 22:29

Yep-there are 6 at my school currently (all in EYFS/KS1). Three prefer being called Albert, two Albies and one Bertie.

Yes a friend of my Mum’s had four daughters all named after colours. She kept having children until she got a son basically, the fifth was finally a son and she named him Albert. Quite random after the set of colours but hey ho.

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 29/07/2019 14:59

I know one, he's coming up for 2.

ChihuahuaMummy1 · 29/07/2019 15:11

One age 10 and it really doesnt suit him,its much too outdated now imo

I know a toddler named Albert. I think it’s cute at the moment - not sure how great it will sound for a teenager or a man in twenties though.
