I think me and DP are going to struggle to agree on a name, so I'm trying to put my list together so we can hopefully find something we agree on!

My list so far:

Tabitha
Talulah
Hannah
Alicia
Marlena
Evelina
Juno
Anya
Harriet
Alannah
Cara
Kaia
Natasha
Georgia
Abigail

I'm really struggling to find something I love, so any suggestions welcome Smile

Abigail

AhhhHereItGoes · 27/07/2019 21:50

Tabitha reminds me of a witch.

Not too keen on Tallulah.

Really like Hannah, Alicia, Anya, Harriet and Georgia.

The others are ok just not my first choice.

I think Harriet or Hannah are the most beautiful, but also classic and elegant names.

Thanks for the comments everyone, not sure I'm any closer to a decision although I think I the list might be shortening and some of the stuff has made me laugh - I also think Tallulah might be a bit stripper-y but I thought it was because I watched Bugsy Malone too much as a kid, interesting that other people think the same! Although weirdly it doesn't really put me off it!

And Alicia I get, we would pronounce it ah-LISS-ia but there are so many variations it might get annoying.

And as for Ever Leaner, not sure I can un-see that either!

Hannah - nice name but been overused for 20+ Yeats

Harriet - lovely
Alannah - I know a couple but they are both in their 20s

Natasha - belongs in the 80s / 90s

17caterpillars1mouse · 28/07/2019 20:43

Suggestion:it might seem quite an obvious one but I think it suits your style, Katherine

Tabitha - it's OK, just really makes me think of Cats. I have come across a few younger Tabitha's so I don't think she'd get weird looks lol

Tallulah - I love it spelt Tallulah. I know a lovely Tallulah in her early 30s and the name always makes me smile

Hannah - pretty classic. I really like it. Also like Anna

Alicia - really not a fan. Doesnt seem to fit with your other names either

Marlena - not a fan

Evelina - pretty but there are so many Evie's about all Eve names have become a bit meh

Juno - I really don't understand people's love of this

Anya - very pretty

Harriet - love it

Alannah - strongly dislike

Cara - very pretty has such a soft and gentle feel

Kaia - not a fan

Natasha - love Natasha. I'm not sure why it doesn't get more love

Georgia - very pretty

Abigail - another lovely but underused these days classic

whattodo2019 · 11/08/2019 10:47

Harriet is by far my favourite

Pinkout · 12/08/2019 11:08

Tabitha- cat name, not keen
Talulah- my DD’s middle name, love it
Hannah- dated, very 90s
Alicia- also dated, not keen
Marlena- not a fan
Evelina- never heard of it, not keen
Juno- love this
Anya- no
Harriet- inoffensive and ok
Alannah- my best friend’s name in primary school. Never met another one, it’s ok
Cara- no
Kaia- definitely no
Natasha- extremely 80s, not a fan
Georgia- name of all the bitches in secondary school (or Georgina- even worse!)
Abigail- very 90s, not a fan

I like Juno and Talulah best.

Lilyannarose · 12/08/2019 12:39

Tabitha - I like. Most get shortened to Tabby though.
Talulah - Pretty. I like Lula.
Hannah - My favourite as this is DD's name. I don't usually shorten it, but when I do she's just Han.
Alicia - I like it when pronounced Alissia but not Alisha.
Marlena - Pretty and unusual. Could be shortened to Marley. I know a Marlia which is also pretty.
Evelina - I really like this. Never met one, but plenty of Evelyn's.
Juno - Not keen, but like Juniper.
Anya - It's OK.
Harriet - I quite like. Love Hattie.
Alannah - Pretty but prefer it spelt Alana or Alanah as the double "n" makes me want to say "Al-anna".
Cara - Pretty, but prefer Clara.
Kaia - Love this.
Natasha - I quite like but don't know any little ones.
Georgia - I like.
Abigail - Another classic that never seems to date.
