Just that really. What's peoples opinions on that name for a boy? I like it because it's unusual yet nice.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Atlasta · 24/07/2019 19:57

I see it as a variation of the Ezra fad. It's not something I'd go for. I think it will date.

Bundlebuns · 24/07/2019 19:58

Brand name for a contraceptive patch.

NewIdeasToday · 24/07/2019 19:59

Not a real name.

DrinkSangriaInThePark · 24/07/2019 20:00

Yes it's the name of the contraception patch!!

Ellmau · 24/07/2019 20:01

What about Everard instead? (That is a real name but sounds quite similar.)

LolaSmiles · 24/07/2019 20:03

It sounds made up to me, even if it's not.

Aragog · 24/07/2019 20:07

Not seen it as a first name and there's little of it online even. Seems, looking at some baby name stat sites, that it only became a used first name in the US from the mid 2000s, so a very new name it would seem. And it's usually a girl at that. Think there are some longer names that have Evra at the end of them too.

It is a surname. There's a couple of people referenced in google with the surname, including a footballer who was in the media for homophobia.

helpmum2003 · 24/07/2019 20:10

Contraception patch, sorry.

user1493494961 · 24/07/2019 20:31

I assumed for a girl from your title and thought that at least it could be shortened to Evie.

Mopmum35 · 24/07/2019 20:35

I think it's nice to be fair.

Fedoos · 24/07/2019 20:39

I'd assume it was after the footballer. Never heard it as a first name before.

AverageMummy · 24/07/2019 21:03

Contraception sorry

Courtney555 · 24/07/2019 21:06

I hear (Vicky Pollard voice) "what-evra"

MondeoFan · 24/07/2019 21:14

It's a no from me Ezra is better and I think it will just get confused with that

Frith2013 · 24/07/2019 21:49

I’m not a fan.

Sophronia · 24/07/2019 23:30

Makes me think of the footballer Patrice Evra.

I prefer Everett, or the Turkish name Evren.

birdonawire1 · 25/07/2019 10:53

Evan is less unusual but nice. Do no like your choice I'm afraid, sounds odd

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 25/07/2019 10:56

Contraceptive patch

Muchtoomuchtodo · 25/07/2019 10:59

Sounds like a medication to me too!

It’s not a name i’ve ever come across before OP, does it have a meaning?

IsobelRae23 · 25/07/2019 13:42

Contraception!😂

BetterEatCheese · 25/07/2019 13:43

Prefer Ezra

gracepoolesrum · 25/07/2019 17:37

I would assume you were huge Manchester United fans, so no.

elephantmarch · 27/07/2019 20:56

Eben or Efron or Everett

WelcomeToGreenvale · 27/07/2019 21:03

Was a character in one of Darren Shan's series of novels. Not a name really apart from that, so unless you're a big fan of Shan then I maybe wouldn't.
