help me choose a name for Tommy's twin sister!

so I'm having twins (first pregnancy so this was a shock!) - a boy and a girl. the boy is Tommy, I've had that picked for years and DP was all for it, particularly as his beloved nan who died a couple of years ago was Thomasina so it's a little tribute to her. We appreciate the twins are individuals but would like names that compliment each other. For example not Tommy and say Cassandra as that would over shadow it majorly!!! We were all set on Ivy until my best friend out of nowhere (she was going with Scarlett) used it for her daughter who was born a week ago. Only other name we really like is Sadie but it's our 6 year old German Shepherd's name so we can't use that!!! Ideas needed please.

I've just seen someone's suggestion of Tommy and Lizzie! 💖

I also really like Tommy and Janey.

Thanks all - lots of options to consider. Current fave is Annie.

Tommy and Saffy (Saffron)
Tommy and Jane (due for revival)

I've said loads of these aloud and I think the names ending in -y/-ie or -a trend to sound really nice with Tommy.

I particularly like Lucy and Eva with Tommy, and also liked Maisie, Anna, Annie, Ava, Laura and Flora from the suggestions.

Good luck!

Are you registering as Thomas but using Tommy as that would make a difference:
Tommy and Daisy works, Thomas and Daisy not so much.
Tommy and Phoebe works, and so does Thomas and Phoebe.
/in my head at least/

Rachelover40 · 24/07/2019 16:25

Diana.
(I presume Tommy's full name will be Thomas.)

NewIDNewme · 24/07/2019 16:26

...my most favourite: Gabriella, NN Bobbie.

omafiet · 24/07/2019 16:28

If you use Thomas rather than Tommy it'll open up many more choices, IMHO.

FurrySlipperBoots · 24/07/2019 16:30

Delilah leaped into my head. Not sure why! I think Tommy's official name should be Thomas.

IsobelRae23 · 25/07/2019 15:22

Def Thomas on the birth certificate. I worked with a Tommy once and it felt like we were talking about a child. I won’t say what jokes were made, but there unfortunately were a few. Seriously when there are ‘cutsie’ names on adults in the work place, for some reason it does not work.

My first thought like another poster was to call the girl Thomasina with NN Tommy. Otherwise what about Mina? Looks like they are both taken from Thomasina then.
