Can anyone think of any? My daughter’s name begins with Y but it’s impossible to get anything with her initial on? Are there any popular Y names?

But no, I don't think there are any very popular names beginning with y.

I think Yasmin and variations is the only one I would consider popular.

Not sure about popular, but Yvonne, Yvette, Yasmin, Yolanda and Ysenda are all that come to mind for girls.

Yves is the only boy name I can think of.

We were watching the athletics on TV tis afternoon, and there was a woman called Yarisley.

I think the Hebrew/Israeli version of a lot of names often spelt with a J in English has a Y, so:
Yael (for Jael) - I quite like this
Yudit (for Judith)
